Image
Laure of http://paintedthoughtsblog.blogspot.com has developed a terrific idea to help raise funds for the people of Haiti through art and hearts. She is hoping to get 100 ATC size hearts to use in a design. Go visit Laure's Blog and read more about it.   Here is my submission. Ke pou Ayiti   is Haitian Creole for Hearts for Haiti

Off topic - Haiti

Usually I keep my blog for calligraphy, and especially wedding calligraphy.  However, this week has been heart wrenching. To watch the daily images from Haiti is difficult - yet living through it . . . well, unimaginable. I am truly blessed to be in a country so rich, generous and free. I'm not sure when I did this postcard. But it struck me in the midst of this terrible disaster . . . Jesus gives the hope that we all need. The news last night showed a group of people dancing and praising God, even in Haiti their faith remains strong. What a lesson to learn.

Holiday Names

Prior to Christmas I had a wonderful opportunity to participate in a business expo put on by Inspired Productions. It was an all day affair at the Biltmore Square Mall in Asheville, NC. I had a wonderful time creating names on some pre-printed tags. I also spent any down time working on envelopes for all the thank you notes. Here are just a few samples.
